Donna brings the partner's perspective. She talks honestly about the emotional and practical impact ADHD can have on a relationship, while also challenging assumptions and sharing what the same situations feel like from her side.
After Adam's ADHD diagnosis, many of the things that had caused confusion and arguments in our relationship began to make more sense.
We could find plenty of information about ADHD, but we wanted to hear more honest conversations from couples living through it together. We wanted both people to have a voice: the person with ADHD and the partner experiencing its effects alongside them.
So we started recording our own conversations. We are not medical professionals or relationship experts. We are simply sharing what ADHD looks and feels like in our relationship, including the good, the difficult and the funny.
Sometimes we agree. Sometimes we really don't. That honesty is the point.
